[What is good]
the character designs are attractive, with a healthy dose of black humor at the end of each chapter, my favorite characters are Takobou-kun and Rokubee (the dog), plus this manga has lasted a good 12 years....
[What is bad]
the violence in the first few volumes is very cringe-worthy and is one of the reasons it was under contreversey with the PTA, also of note are the evil characters (oniaba,yukiko-onee,dame oyaji's superiors, etc.) in which have a mean streak that makes your skin crawl at times
bascially, the manga is about a long-suffering salaryman named Dame Oyaji, whose family treats him like crap and get a sick S&M thrill out of the old man's pain,,,,, his only friend is a talking dog, who at times is as unlucky as he is...... there are few rare times that dame oyaji gets vengance, but at the end, suceeds.....
