Ask.jp which is the Japanese version of ask.com announced the close of its B2C service.
It changed the web search's engine to YST before, so it is not big surprise, I think.

I was working for Ask.jp before and now I made the search engine by myself and am providing the service by myself.

As the blog search system, I think this is the best in Japan now.
Google and Yahoo is not so good for the area which requires big effort for localization.
To eliminate spam and to find the blog as fast as possible, you have to have quite deep knowledge about the Japanese's internet's situation.
Technorati is almost dead in Japanese market due to its inability to deal with spams.

Naver is trying to enter Japanese market again.
I met people who is working for it but I think it is quite difficult for them to succeed.

Sayings from S-Cry-Ed

Rule in this world is speed. Even stupid person can write cool novel if he can spend 20 years for it.

If someone helped me, I will help him in return, which is my rule.

To become stronger, consider what is cowardliest thinking. And rebel against the thinking, which will make you stronger.

I am Japanese but working for some English sites.
